Marina Serrano is currently President of the Association of Electricity Companies (aelec), and also is Of Counsel in the Spanish law firm Pérez-Llorca.

She is founder and member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Energy Law Association (AEDEN). Furthermore, Marina serves as Vice-chair of the Spanish Business Organisation Confederation (CEOE).

She is a member of Madrid Bar Association (ICAM). From 1988-1995, she was Legal Director at Red Eléctrica de España (REE), Spain’s national power grid operator.

She was also Secretary and Member of the Board of Directors of the Energy National Regulatory Authority (Comisión Nacional de Energía, CNE) since 1995 to 2013.
