David Delgado Romero

David joined Meridiam in 2005 as one of the firm’s first employees. Over the past 10 years, he has been responsible for development and portfolio management activities across Central and Eastern Europe.
He recently led the bidding processes and financial close of the Olsztyn Energy-from-Waste project (Poland), the D4 PPP Motorway (Czech Republic), Netcity Fiber (Romania), and the Sofia Airport Concession (Bulgaria). David has also worked on a number of transactions outside Central and Eastern Europe, including the Limerick Tunnel (Ireland), the LIFT portfolio (United Kingdom), the Purple Line project in Maryland (United States), and the Antananarivo and Nosy Be Airports PPP (Madagascar). In addition, he has prepared bids and undertaken due diligence for projects in France, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Spain, and Italy.
Prior to joining Meridiam, David spent five years in the transportation and infrastructure sector, working for the Regional Government of Catalonia and the Centre d’Études du Transport pour la Méditerranée Occidentale (CETMO), an organization affiliated with the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
David holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, where he also earned a Master of Science in Transportation. He also graduated from Harvard University with a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
