Ian Thomas was until recently Senior Vice President of Fluor Corporate Strategy & Emerging Markets Group, with a broad business development brief in the UK and around the globe.

Fluor is a US company involved in the construction of infrastructure projects internationally. Ian was business development director and a member of the senior management of AMEC plc where he has specific responsibility for liaising with governments in the UK and internationally, promoting privately financed infrastructure projects outside the UK, and for co-ordinating business proposals across the worldwide AMEC businesses.

He chairs the AMEC Global Nuclear Business Forum and sits on the board of Fluor AMEC LLC, a company which is carrying out major reconstruction work in Iraq for the US government. He is also Co-Chairman of the Indonesian British Business Council and Special Adviser to the Chairman and Speaker of the Korean Congress.
