Archery, Meridiam’s endowment fund along with its civil society partner PLACE, believes migration could be a source of innovation and economic growth for Europe through a special focus on entrepreneurial skills acquisition.

Focused on identifying and supporting emerging talents in order to build a better world, The Meridiam endowment fund was the first private sponsor for this ambitious and inclusive project, which has also received encouraging financial and practical support from the City of Paris since its inception in 2016.

At this exhibition held at the Meridiam Paris office, some of the first PLACEMAKERS (as the workshop participants are known) are featured in a remarkable work of art co-authored with Montreuil based artist Tina Merandon. These portraits capture the entire gamut from emotions of these newcomers; so full of drive, ambition, nostalgia and most importantly hope.

Overall, 220 newcomers of 32 different nationalities have participated in PLACE LABS, with 120 innovative solutions and early prototyped projects to show. For Meridiam it is only the beginning and the teams at Archery are especially proud to help these PLACEMAKERS pave the way (see the table below) for migrant-led innovation.

A meaningful, must-see exhibition that embodies Meridiam’s commitment to diversity and inclusion and drives and inspires every project launch and the underlying investment ethos.
