TGV High Speed Trains carry its first commercial passengers between Bordeaux and Paris

Over the six years of design and construction, LISEA had to move more than 70 million m3 of earthworks, install and test the 300 km long line and 40 km of junctions with all the rail systems, including European interoperability ERTMS 2 signaling system, and take care of the 223 fauna and flora protected species, requiring the securing of 3500 ha for compensations. During the 44 years of operation, LISEA will monitor, manage and develop rail safety operations, sustainable management of the line and traffic, as well as economic development of the territories.
