Meridiam invests in biogas cogeneration plant in Mayenne (France)

Share

The Project was initiated in 2011 by a group of 110 farmers in the Mayenne region in Western France, to develop and invest in a cogeneration plant with a 3.6MW capacity – the largest of this type in France.

The cogeneration unit will benefit from long-term biomass supply (150,000 tons/year) with the local farmers and will produce electricity sold to EDF.

This investment exemplifies an innovative partnership model with local stakeholders to ensure the delivery of infrastructure supporting the energy transition and circular economy with a strong local impact.
