Sustainability as a Business Philosophy
- Meridiam is a pioneer in the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) approach, which we have applied systematically since our inception

Meridiam is certified Benefit Corporation™ (“B Corp”). The B Corp certification recognizes that Meridiam, together with its subsidiaries, has been designated as meeting high standards of social and environmental impact. Meridiam is one of a relatively small number of firms to have achieved B Corp certification.
Meridiam has been certified French Benefit Corporation (« société à mission » /mission-driven company) since 2019, being one of the first major French companies to make a concrete commitment to this path, joining a global movement of leaders using business as a force for good by balancing purpose and profit.

- In compliance with rigorous and recognized international standards
Paris - Europe - Africa
Meridiam meets the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2015 – which is a certification standard relative to quality management systems issued by the French Association for Standardization (AFNOR) (see certificate). Meridiam’s investment process and risk management systems were certified ISO 9001:2008 first in 2012 and renewed each year since.
SIMPL.
The ‘Sustainability Impact Measurement Platform’ (SIMPL.®), a Software as a Service
(SaaS) tool, allows us to collect ESG information provided by all assets, and to track and monitor their impact against ESG targets and SDGs. Using data collected with SIMPL.®, we monitor our performance on all other SDG-related mission objectives. In 2026, SIMPL.® joined the Zei Group, a leading player in ESG/CSR and carbon software solutions, adding new benchmark functionalities.
In November 2021, Meridiam was ISO 37001 certified by the French Association for Standardization (AFNOR) (see certificate). As a reminder, this standard assesses the reliability and performance of anti-corruption management systems within various organizations.
Initially covering the Paris headquarters and two of its African offices (Dakar and Addis Ababa), this certification was extended two years later, in 2023, to the offices in Libreville (Gabon) and Johannesburg (South Africa). In November 2025, it was further extended to all European offices.
The fight against corruption at all levels (investors, partners, suppliers, employees) and all geographies is a priority for Meridiam.
In 2025, Meridiam scored 100% on 3 out of 4 modules from the UN PRI reporting – the largest global reporting project on responsible investment:
– Policy Governance and Strategy: 100/100
– Direct Private Equity: 100/100
– Direct Infrastructure: 100/100
– Confidence Building Measures: 99/100*
These results demonstrate Meridiam’s focus on delivering impact in three areas: Critical public services, Sustainable mobility, and Innovative low carbon solutions; the company’s integrated approach to investment ensures we can maximise economical, environmental and social benefit across every project.
