Meridiam was established in France and the United States of America by
Thierry Déau, formerly Chief Executive of Egis Projects (a subsidiary of France’s Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, specialized in developing, financing and managing infrastructure projects), with operational and financial support from ECOM Technology Corp. and the Crédit Agricole Group
Meridiam secures its two first projects:
> The Limerick Tunnel in Ireland, a 10-km-long tolled dual carriageway bypass and a 675 metre-long immersed tube tunnel under a river, which began operating in July 2010;
> the A5 highway in Austria, a new 51.5 km motorway, north east
of Vienna, which opened to traffic in January 2010
Involvement of Meridiam in its first social infrastructure project in the UK.
Developement and management of more than 40 buildings with a capital value of over £460m. They are home to a wide range of modern, primary, integrated and community health services as well as social care, leisure and third sector services. Under UK National Health Services LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust) initiative
Final closing of the first fund worth €547m. 11 assets developed and under management today for a total value of more than €17 billion
Meridiam is awarded Port of Miami Tunnel project. The infrastructure diverts around 16,000 vehicles of daily traffic – much of it being heavy trucks, from downtown Miami, so reducing congestion, improving quality of lives and aiding economic development.
Financial close of R1 Motorway project in Slovakia. Developed to improve an important transport corridor for western Slovakia, the road’s safety and to aid economic development in the region
First two Meridiam projects come into operation: Limerick Tunnel in Ireland and Ypsilon in Austria. Montreal healthcare research center (CRCHUM) Closing.
Carry out the entire spectrum of basic, clinic and population health research
(CAN$608m). Texas managed lane contract (US$2,652m) to rebuilt of one the busiest and most congested highways in Texas, with average daily traffic of more than 250,000 vehicles.

Closing of the South Europe Atlantic High-Speed rail line in France (Tours -Bordeaux). The largest construction site in Europe at the time, 300km high speed rail line, creating 5000 jobs (opened in 2017).
