Auvisa Highway

Background

The Autovía de los Viñedos (Auvisa) motorway (CM-42) consists of a dual carriageway road (2×2) covering a total distance of 74.5km, connecting Consuegra (Toledo) and Tomelloso (Ciudad Real) in the region of Castilla La Mancha (central Spain).
Auvisa is the second segment of the CM-42 and an essential connection linking main cities and towns with Toledo (the capital of the region), meeting the demands of mobility between communities in the surrounding regions. In addition, the motorway is an alternative to the AP-36 toll road connecting Madrid with the east of Spain (Albacete, Alicante and Valencia).
