Graduated from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris in 1992, Thierry then held various positions in the engineering and construction sectors. In 1994 he joined Egis Projects, a leading global project developer and operator, where he was involved in the financing of infrastructure projects all over the world before taking the Chief Executive position in 2001. He subsequently managed the operations of the company and was part of its Strategic Committee. He joined AECOM as a director in late 2004 to concentrate on developing and delivering the Fund as General Manager.
Since 2000, he has closed the following deals: A2 Motorway (Poland), SCUT Interior Norte motorway (Portugal), Manila North Tollway (Philippines), Daejeon Riverside Expressway (Korea), South Australian ports and A28 Motorway (France) acting as an equity investor. Thierry has sat as an SPV Director on DRECL (Korea), DRE Funding plc (Ireland), Norscut (Portugal) and ILI (Italy), and as a corporate director on Egis Projects Asia Pacific (Australia), EPSYS (Philippines), EP GmbH (Austria), Transroute International, BCEOM, Scetauroute and ISIS (France)

Julia Prescot

Educated at Cambridge University, Julia has acted as an adviser and arranger on behalf of senior debt investors in respect of a large number of PPP projects around the globe. Her roles have included Head of Project Finance at Hill Samuel Bank in London and Co-Head of Project Advisory at Charterhouse Bank. In 2000 she joined Bank of Scotland (as Senior Director and then Head of Eurozone Infrastructure Finance) to take a principal role, acting for a financial equity investor, provider of mezzanine funding and arranger of senior debt.
Julia has been involved from the outset of the PFI/PPP process in the UK, providing advice to the UK Government and, as the process was exported more widely, she provided advice to a number of European Governments on instituting and setting up a PPP process. Since 2000, Julia has closed the following transactions: Leeds 7 schools (equity UK PFI), Hexham Hospital (equity/mezzanine/debt UK PFI), Tubelines London Underground (debt arranging UK PPP), A28 motorway (equity/mezzanine France PPP), ENA motorway (privatisation/acquisition Spain PPP), Eje Aeropuerto/Palma Manacor (debt Spain PPP), Rathcormac/Fermoy road (equity/debt Ireland PPP) and Madrid hospitals with Sacyr Vallehermoso (arranging Spain PPP).

Jens Genkel
Senior Investment Director
Jens holds a Diplom Wirtschaftsingenieur from the Technische Hochschule in Karlsruhe and an MSc in Operational Research from the London School of Economics. He was trained originally as an analyst at Deutsche Bank and joined after his studies the project finance department of Dresdner Bank. He then worked for several years in the infrastructure development departments of German construction companies such as Philipp Holzmann and Walter Bau before taking on the role of Managing Director at Egis Dorsch Development. Most recently, Jens worked at Egis Projects Asia Pacific in Australia.
Jens has taken leading roles in various infrastructure projects such as the Berlin Airport privatisation and extension (ultimately withdrawn by the client), the Zagreb-Macelj toll motorway, the Dubrovnik bridge in Croatia, the Birecik Hydropower Project in Turkey and the Emster waste water treatment plant in Germany. He has also been involved in the successful renegotiation of the financing arrangements for the Beijing Lufthansa Centre and various road operation and maintenance contracts. In addition, he worked on various transactions in Eastern and Western Europe in the road sector.

Massimo Fiorentino
Senior Investment Director
Massimo holds a PhD Law degree from the Università La Sapienza" in Rome and undertook post-graduate financial training at the London Business School. Massimo started his career in 1983 with Crédit Lyonnais in italy before becoming one of Calyon's senior global bankers in charge of financial institutions and supranationals. Massimo carried out various financial advisory and arranging assignments for projects in Europe, Latin America and Asia and, from 2002 onwards, led the Group's Continental Europe, Middle East and Africa infrastructure project finance and structured finance activities. Massimo joined Meridiam in September 2007.
Among many other transactions, Massimo supervised or advised on the following recent projects: arranging of the €1.5bn financing of the re-purchase of Budapest Airport by Hochtief, CDPQ, KfW and GIC; €280m financing of the Brussels waste-water treatment facility; €280m financing for the first set of four French prisons (under the on-going French PPP programme); advisory and arranging of PPP-patterned €100m and financing of express tramway link connecting Lyon (France) to the city's airport; arranging of hybrid €500m structured financing of largest parking concession holder in Europe; and arranging of €940m financing of A41 Motorway Concession in France (2005 EMEA Transport/Road deal of the year by Project Finance/ Euromoney). Massimo was also involved in the hybrid financing offers for the acquisition of two French motorway concession holders and of the international airports of Brussels (Belgium) and Copenhagen (Denmark).

Thierry Dallard

Thierry was educated at the Ecole Normale Supérieure. He holds a doctorate in fluid mechanics from the University of Paris (Pierre et Marie Curie University Paris 6), and is also a graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (the leading French civil engineering school). He began his career as a private-sector consultant on high-speed train projects in Italy before moving into the French civil service where, for over twelve years, he has worked on transport infrastructure projects.
In the course of his career as a civil servatn, Thierry has managed several offices, including the Technical Engineering Centres for the Department of Infrastructure, with 120 employees and revenue of €12m, and the Mobility and Infrastructure Unit of the Marseille Departemental Infrastructure Office, with 74 employees and a budget of €30m. He has also been responsible for the development and implementation of the major public infrastructure plans, the coordination of highways with local transport in and around Marseille. Most importantly, as Deputy director of the Ministry for Transport and Infrastructure's General Highways Department he has been responsible for the decentralisation and the reorganisation of national road services.

Joe Aiello

Educated at University of Massachusetts -Amherst (BA) and Harvard University (Master of City and Regional Planning), Mr. Aiello has been a leader in the development of large scale infrastructure and real estate projects, a senior executive in business operations and business development. Mr. Aiello launched the development of AECOM Enterprises, Inc., the Private Public Partnership Division of AECOM Technology Corporation. Mr. Aiello has served as member of AECOM’s Core Group, the Central Strategic Planning entity of AECOM. Throughout his career, Mr. Aiello has developed many key relationships with government departments in the realm of North American transportation as exhibited through past positions and collaboration with various public sector authorities, as well as through his involvement in large scale transactions including the Tren Urbano. Mr. Aiello joined Meridiam in early 2007 and will look to further Meridiam’s investment exposure in the North American Market.
Emmanuel Rotat

Emmanuel graduated from Ecole Centrale de Nantes and subsequently started working as a Project Director for Egis Projects, where he spent eight years. He managed a number of PPP projects until financial close and has been heavily involved in leading the negotiations and the structuring of numerous PPP projects throughout Europe and the Asia/Pacific region. He joined AECOM as an Investment Director in March 2005 to help develop and deliver the Meridiam Fund.
During his career, Emmanuel has been involved in projects such as the A2 and A4 motorways in Poland, the Daejeon Riverside Expressway in South Korea and others in Romania, Greece, Portugal and Australia.

David Delgado Romero
Associate Director
David graduated as a Civil Engineer from Escuela Superior de Ingenieros de Caminos Canales y Puertos de Barcelona where he also obtained a Master of Science in Transportation. After four years working as an associate at CETMO – a United Nations transportation think tank in Barcelona, he moved to the US where he graduated from Harvard University obtaining a Masters degree in Public Administration with concentrations in finance and negotiation. He joined Meridiam Infrastructures as Financial Analyst in September 2005 and has been deeply involved in the first transaction of the Fund.

John Dionisio
Associate Director
John graduated from Georgetown University in Washington DC with Bachelor of Science in Health Studies and a minor concentration in Economics. He has previously worked as an intern for several merchant banks in New York.
Since joining Meridiam Infrastructure in November of 2005, John has played a significant role in the fund structuring and fundraising initiatives. In addition, John has served as an analyst on investment opportunities in the North American and European markets.

worked in leveraged finance department at Bank of
Scotland. Charles has also worked as an intern for
one year at Astorg Partners a midcap private equity

markets department. Since joining Meridiam Charles has
been involved in various investment opportunities in
the North American and European Markets.
