The Project involves the design, construction, operation and maintenance of an approximately 10 km length of newly tolled dual carriageway bypass to the South West of the city of Limerick connecting the recently completed Phase 1 of the Limerick Southern Ring Road with the existing N18 National Road heading West to Shannon and the airport. The Project includes a 675m long immersed tube tunnel under the River Shannon, and as an estuarial crossing will have the benefit of capturing traffic that would otherwise have to take a lengthy detour.


 

 

 

  

Construction was completed and the Limerick project was opened to public in July 2010.

 

Revenue profile

Project revenues are derived from collected tolls partially guaranteed by the NRA.
