Tim started his career in 1981 in retail banking working for Natwest / NatWest International in the south of England and the south of France and then moved into Corporate Banking and worked on the European Corporates desk of the International Division and later in Strategic Planning and Financial Control. In 1989 Tim moved into the project finance team where he led a number of project financings in the power, processing and telecoms areas. Tim later established NatWest´s project finance advisory team which was around the time that the concept of PFI (Private Finance Initiative) was being developed and Tim worked closely with HM Treasury in developing the initial government guidance notes to departments in this area.

After 13 years with NatWest (latterly NatWest Markets), in June 1994 Tim moved to join Bank of America / Banc of America Securities to develop the European project finance business and in due course was named Global Head of Infrastructure. This role included responsibility for advisory and lending activities in Infrastructure around the world and membership of the credit committee for all Infrastructure lending operations. During this time Tim worked on a wide variety of transactions including the Rion Antiion Bridge project in Greece and the privatisation of the UK´s Air Traffic Control System.

In 2003 Tim moved to KPMG where he led the development of Infrastructure teams in the UK, the US, France and Latin America. At KPMG Tim worked on projects in the UK, Ireland, Portugal, Austria, Greece, Russia, the UAE, the USA, France, Germany, Egypt, Peru and Brazil and was part of the Global team managing KPMG´s Infrastructure business around the world. Tim also acted as a central point for assisting various governments in the development of their PPP programs and laws.
Most recently Tim was based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, leading the development of KPMG´s Infrastructure business throughout Latin America.
