Jens holds a Diplom Wirtschaftsingenieur from the Technische Hochschule in Karlsruhe and an M.Sc in Operational Research from the London School of Economics.

He was originally trained as an analyst at Deutsche Bank before joining its project finance department of Dresdner Bank. He then worked for several years in the infrastructure development departments of Phillipp Holzmann and Walter Bau before taking on the role of managing director at Egis Dorsch development. Subsequently Jens worked at Egis Projects Asia Pacific in Australia where he was involved in monitoring and developing road operation and project development in Australia. Jens joined Meridiam in 2005.
 
During his 15 years of professional experience, Jens has held leading roles in various infrastructure projects such as the Berlin Airport privatisation and extension (ultimately withdrawn by the client), the Zagreb-Macelj toll motorway.

Since he joined Meridiam, Jens has played a lead role on the Vienna ring road, the UK Lift scheme, the A2 in Poland and the A5 in Germany. Jens has recently closed Segment II of the A2 in Poland.
