Jane Garvey, ex-advisor to President Obama on transport policy, becomes President of Meridiam's activities in North America

Jane Garvey is one of the recognized specialists in transport infrastructure in the United States.

Jane Garvey has recently advised the transition government of President Obama on his infrastructure policy, after spending 5 years as special advisor on infrastructure issues with the bank JP Morgan.

Jane Garvey held the post of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator from 1997 to 2002, under the terms of Presidents Clinton and Bush, and notably during the year following the attack of September 11 2001.

During her term as the Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) from 1991-1997, Jane Garvey was in particular the precurser of the current Public Private Partnership (PPP), by developing highway infrastructure financings through a debt instrument, GARVEE (Grant Anticipation Revenue Vehicle).

"We are honored that Alain Juillet is bringing his double public/private experience by sitting on Meridiam's supervisory board", declared Meridiam's president, Thierry Déau. He added "A considerable expert in American infrastructure policies, Jane Garvey is also a master asset in our development on the North American continent."
